Tropical rainforest El Yunque, sometimes referred to as the "El Yunque National Forest," is situated in the northeastern portion of Puerto Rico. It is the largest national forest in the Caribbean and the only tropical rainforest in the US National Forest System.

More than 240 different tree species, 50 different fern species, and more than 50 different orchid species can be found in the forest. The Puerto Rican parrot and the coqui frog are two examples of the numerous endangered species that call the forest home.

Tourists and hikers enjoy visiting the woodland as well. Visitors can explore the beautiful woodland on a number of hiking trails that weave through the forest. offering a chance to explore the lush rainforest and see exotic animal life
